The Ithaca College Department of Anthropology (located in Ithaca, NY) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position in applied cultural/medical anthropology effective August 16, 2020. The successful candidate’s research will focus on human health outcomes in underrepresented populations and be grounded in an ethnographic and mixed-methods approach. This position involves: teaching undergraduate courses in medical anthropology appropriate to the candidate’s expertise and department’s needs, including introductory courses in cultural anthropology and a methods course; supervising undergraduate research/field experiences; conducting and publishing research; advising students; participating in service obligations; and contributing courses in the Integrated Core Curriculum (Ithaca College’s general education program).
