Missives from MASSH

Current and prospective members of Medical Anthropologists and Social Scientists in Health (MASSH) convened at the SfAA Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio. Events included Morning Brew with MASSH, a coffee-fueled conversation on Thursday morning, and “Introducing the Power of Medical Anthropologists and Social Scientists in Health (MASSH) TIG: Solidarity, Collaboration, and Methodological Rigor for the Greater Good,” a roundtable introducing the group’s mission and activities. We continue to grow, with 200 members now subscribed to our listserv (https://groups.google.com/g/anthrosinhealth).

Seeking Students/Trainees!

We are seeking 1-2 students/trainees to serve on our Executive Committee. We define “student/trainee” broadly to include undergraduates, recent graduates, Master’s and doctoral students, postdocs, research assistants, and/or anyone who is just getting started in the world of applied medical anthropology. We would like to have student/trainee input into planning our activities and shaping the future of MASSH.

Interested students/trainees should send a brief cover letter and c.v. to co-chairs Linda Kahn (lskahn@buffalo.edu) and Ellen Rubinstein (ellen.rubinstein@aya.yale.edu) by June 30, 2023, for consideration.
