Louise Lamphere Internship Program

Now Accepting Applications

The American Anthropological Association is now accepting applications for the Louise Lamphere Internship Program. Each summer, we offer two student internship opportunities at our Arlington, VA offices. Interns will also spend time on-site at either the Naval History & Heritage Command or The Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. Internships are six weeks in length and usually extend from early July through mid-August. With its commitment to inclusion and equity, the Association pays for students' housing and offers a meal/travel stipend.

All U.S. and international undergraduate students that are rising juniors, juniors, or seniors, and first year graduate students (completing the first year of graduate work by June 2022), are eligible to apply for the program. Applications are due Friday, March 4, 2022. Learn more about the program and apply today
