Medical Anthropologists and Social Scientists in Health (MASSH) TIG

Create a MASSH-Up!

The Medical Anthropologists and Social Scientists in Health (MASSH) Topical Interest Group brings together anthropologists and allied social scientists working in applied health settings (hospitals, health departments, companies, community-based organizations, and universities) to promote professional development, research collaboration, and educational opportunities. We are a vital group of scholars and practitioners working across applied and academic settings, offering practical support and resources. Join the MASSH listserv via: https://groups.google.com/g/anthrosinhealth and in person at SfAAs in Cincinnati.

Join us for our first “MASSH Connections,” a virtual guest speaker event, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1-2 PM PT/4-5 PM ET, featuring Allison Hamilton, PhD, MPH, VA Greater LA Healthcare System and David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. Dr. Hamilton has paved the way for anthropologists working in health-related contexts and will share insights from her accomplished career.
