The Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to a member of SfAA in recognition of long-term and truly distinguished service to the Society.

If you feel that someone who has taught you, worked with you, mentored you is worthy of this honor, please nominate them. The Sol Tax Award Committee receives nominations, which include a letter of support and an updated CV, during the summer months.  We encourage members of the SfAA to nominate individuals who are deserving of this award.  Please send inquiries to committee chair Jeanne Simonelli at   Send full nominations to the SfAA office at

These are difficult times.  Let’s honor those who serve in spite of them.
