Virtual Meeting Training and Support for Presenters and Attendees

2021 Norfolk logo.png"As we approach the SfAA's 2021 virtual meeting, we are committed to providing training and support for presenters and members. On February 1st and 4th we held instructional webinars for creating and submitting pre-recorded presentations and posters. The recordings of these trainings can now be viewed on our website under Meeting Instructions, Webinars. There you will also find the "SfAA Pre-recorded Presenter Guide" which provides step-by-step instructions and resources for developing presentation materials. Included in the guide and the webinars is contact information for SfAA representatives who can assist with any specific questions or issues. The deadline to submit pre-recorded materials is February 28, 2021

We will be providing presenter training for live stream sessions on February 25th and March 1st. You can register for these webinars on the SfAA website under Meeting Instructions, Webinars. Around this time, we will also provide the "SfAA Live Stream Presenter Guide" which will be accessible on the website and will provide detailed instructions for live stream sessions.

Training for webinar moderators will take place in March on the 4th and the 8th. Registration for these trainings will be on the website in the next few weeks.

Finally, members and presenters will be given access to Whova in early March so they can get familiar with the platform. There are specific instructions for Whova's presenter areas in the presenter guides and there are also two Whova guides (desktop and mobile) for attendees which provide step-by-step instructions for creating profiles and agendas, engaging with attendees, and accessing sessions. These are currently featured on the website under https://www.appliedanthro.org/annual-meeting/meeting-information/virtual-meeting-whova-instructions

We are dedicated to creating an enjoyable and safe meeting experience for everyone, and we look forward to seeing you all at our 81st annual meeting."
