From time to time we like to remind SfAA members about the importance of “clicks” – direct access to Human Organization and Practicing Anthropology articles via Allen Press and JSTOR – for showing interest in our publications and generating revenue for the Society. All SfAA members have full HO and PA access via your member portal on the SfAA website: https://www.appliedanthro.org/publications.

For those with institutional JSTOR or Allen Press access, and especially for those who direct students and others to HOand PA articles, we ask that you please help the Society by directing those folks to JSTOR or Allen Press via institutional portal instead of passing along a copy. JSTOR has HO and PA articles through 2015; Allen Press has the more recent work plus older articles. Again, clicks on those articles benefit the Society – a benefit that is especially important to us right now in light of diminished revenue elsewhere. 

Thanks to all who have submitted Newsletter content and prospective HO and PA articles of late – and to our many reviewers. We know that scholarly productivity and sharing with fellow members has been much more difficult for many over the past year. Our editors have been able to continue their good work in a timely manner – including several recent articles highlighting anthropological contributions to our understanding of the effects of COVID-19 – and they tell me that they especially welcome your contributions at present. As always, our global Society welcomes submissions from anthropologists outside the United States, too. We think that the combined missions and formats of HO, PA, and our Newsletter provide a distinctive benefit to our members, and we welcome your input and ideas for improvement, as always.
