Marketing Opportunities at the Annual Meeting

The SfAA Meeting offers advertisers exposure to an estimated 1,800 attendees. Our participants approach the social sciences from a variety of methodological and theoretical perspectives and are deeply invested in issues of healthcare, economic development, food security, disaster relief and more. Overall, the Meeting provides an ideal scholarly and social setting for advertisers and sponsors involved in the fields of anthropology and the social sciences.

Our exhibition packages offer a variety of options for exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors to suit the personality and volume of their inventory; and larger exhibits (full table reservations with representatives) enjoy additional space and discounted advertising fees. As our community is both academic and practice-oriented in nature, publishers can expect a welcoming and interested customer base.

Representitive

SfAA offers one free table to vendors who reserve a full table and register a representative ($155). SfAA will unpack, set up, and monitor for those not sending a representative. The Exhibit will be staffed by SfAA volunteers throughout the day and draped at night.

Advertise

Advertising in the Annual Meeting Program

The Annual Meeting Program is distributed to all registrants (circa 1,800). The Program contains the Meeting Schedule and Abstracts, as well as a section on educational programs. The Program is approximately 140 pages in length. Contact the SfAA Office to obtain a free sample program.

Specifications

Advertisements should be sent by January 15 in electronic format as .tif or .pdf files. Actual image size line screen should be 150. Ad copy sent in any other format will not be accepted.

Training Program

Training Program Exhibit

The Training Program Exhibit is a great chance to inform students and colleagues about graduate programs, internship opportunities, field schools, and organizations that work with applied social scientists. This exhibit will give you an opportunity to present your program to the more than 1,800 attendees.  We expect considerable dialogue among the exhibitors regarding recruitment, exchange opportunities, and field research. Consider having currently enrolled students at the table as well as a faculty representative.  Students profit from both perspectives.

The Exhibit is scheduled for Friday morning, March 20, 2020.  Set-up begins at 8:00 am.  The exhibit will run from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.  The Society will provide a  6' table as well as an easel stand.  The fee for participation is $150 and includes a free 1/8 page ad in our meeting Program.  Ad must be submitted by January 15 to the SfAA Office.
