OAA Advanced Fellowship in Health Services Research – Iowa City, IA

Overview: The Center for Access & Delivery Research and Evaluation (CADRE) at the Iowa City VA Health Care System is accepting applications for our post-doctoral fellowship. The purpose of this 2-year fellowship is to develop fellows’ skills in the application of rigorous health services research and implementation science to improve healthcare systems. CADRE strives to improve access to high quality healthcare, particularly for rural Veterans and works closely with its academic affiliate, The University of Iowa. While candidates interested in telehealth, infectious disease, women’s health, care coordination, medication safety, multi-methods research, Learning Health Systems (LHS), and rural health may find CADRE a particularly good fit we encourage all interested applicants to apply. For the coming year we are particularly interested in applicants with an interest in rural health and geriatrics. 

Eligibility: This fellowship is open to PhD scientists (e.g., economics, statistics, epidemiology, public health, health policy, psychology, anthropology, sociology, communications, and other fields interested in health services research) and physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinical psychologists with doctoral training. 
Application Deadlines: for PhD scientists is January 30th, 2024. Thereafter, applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis provided there are openings. We are accepting applications for MD candidates at any time.
