FEDERAL SERIES & GRADE: GS-0190-12 (Salary Range: $42.29 to $54.98 per hour. Salary includes a 2.86% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA)) 

LOCATION:  The duty station is Anchorage, AK.  (Relocation expenses may be reimbursed.) 

SUMMARY: This position is located in the Cultural Resources Team, Alaska Regional Office, under the supervision of the Senior Cultural Anthropologist. The primary purpose of the position is to provide professional guidance to parks and offices within the Alaska Region regarding cultural anthropology.  Major duties of the position include serving as regional coordinator for the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and for the Ethnographic Resources database of the NPS Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS). The work centers on researching, preserving and protecting the ethnographic resources and cultural heritage of traditional groups affiliated with Alaska's national park units. The position is duty stationed in Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska.
