Applied Anthropology Postdoc

Tampa General Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of Internal Medicine, in conjunction with the University of South Florida Department of Anthropology is seeking to fill a one-year full time postdoctoral position for an applied anthropologist. 

The position is based at Tampa General, and involves program implementation/management and research for HIV, Hepatitis C, and Opioid Use Disorder. 

An ideal candidate will: 

  1. Assist in the daily management and scale up of an existing HIV/HCV screening and linkage program based in the emergency department, as well as with an associated mobile street medicine sterile syringe program/opioid substitution treatment pathway. 

  2. Operationalize new projects through community partner engagement, and source new funding opportunities. 

  3. Actively develop and contribute to program evaluation and other associated research with guidance of the Medical Director and the Director for Social Emergency Medicine Strategies. 

Salary and Starting Date are Negotiable.

This position has the potential for two years, however second year dependent on satisfactory performance.
